The Prelude Music Foundation leads developmentally appropriate music and movement classes in early childhood education settings across the city of Houston. In the 2025-2026 school year, we proudly serve 20 sites and more than 3,300 students in underserved communities, Title I schools, and residential sites that support children experiencing illness and trauma.

Develop

Weekly Music Class

Utilizing the Music Together® curriculum, which includes developmentally appropriate recordings and songbooks, our specialists lead each classroom in weekly, playful music and movement sessions.

Inspire

Professional Development

We inspire classroom teachers in workshops where they learn to utilize the Music Together curriculum and integrate music into their daily classroom settings to help with literacy, math, social development, and more.

Family Engagement Concerts

Once a semester, our teachers and the professional musicians from our partnering organizations hold a concert for parents and students to gather where they sing and dance as one united musical community.
